Re: [mobicents-public] Non-standard Proxy Behaviour

Regarding compliance to proxies in IMS -

The IMS nodes are not just proxy servers. The S-CSCF for example is a registrar, proxy and a UAS. When it sends a BYE, it acts as a UAC for abnormal cases.

Similarly, the P-CSCF is a proxy and a UAC.

Only the I-CSCF is strictly a proxy server.

IMS nodes consider these roles as logical in nature.

Aayush, This is interesting it would mean even IMS don't strictly follow compliance for proxies ?
Can you point me to some (human-readable :-))  section explaining this behavior, that would be highly appreciated.

Andrew if IMS supports this that could be a good use case to add support for it so that people could build IMS nodes on top of MSS if needed so 1) would be the preferred way to do it.
